Volunteer Roles

Location: Dow Pavilion in Look Park

Time: 6:00 am – 9:30 am

You will help hand out bibs and race packets and be able to answer general questions about the event. You may be the first volunteer that many runners interact with which means you will help create their first impression of the event.

Aid Station Management

Time 6:00 am – 1:00 pm

Location: 1 of 5 aid stations along the course

You will help fill cups and hand out drinks to runners. However the aid station managers hand out more than drinks; they also hand out the positive energy and cheers that motivate runners to keep going.

Course Marshalls

Time: 6:00 am – 1:00 pm

Location: Each significant turn will have course marshals to ensure that runners stay on course. We will assign the specific turn within 2 weeks of the event.

Your primary job is to make sure that runners stay on the course and that any oncoming vehicles are aware that runners are in the road. You can also provide runners with much need support by cheering and encouraging them.

Event Ambassadors

Time: 6:00 am – 1:00 pm

Location: Dow Pavilion at Look Park

Event Ambassadors are the most versatile volunteers. You will be available to answers questions, direct runners to the starting area and hand out medals at the finish line.
